It is stable. There are no new releases planned.

What is the way to go to extend functionality to Iweb?

What do you want to do?

IWeb is just a way to save yourself from writing a lot of code to authenticate web services with DotNetNuke security. IWeb also contains a file manager as an example.

While we could add more features, we hit a point where understanding the Iweb way of doing things would take more time then manually doing whatever it is that you want to do :)

I know you did an excellent job.

What I have in mind is that Iweb will be delivered as a part of the DNN Core.

There should be a way to enable all modules to be automaticly exposed as a webservice.

This enables DNN to move more smooth into to mobile world.

What I see when developing for SugarCRM and Sharepoint that data can be easily be retrieved, updated and viewed.

I miss that currently within DNN

This is my personal opinion, Ian Lackmay have another one, IWeb is a very old project.

I think that technologies like LightSwitch are easier to use. See:

Need to have some time to dive into LightSwitch.

Looks like this is more like development for DNN itself.

We are now working on some mobile apps, and it would be nice to connect standard to a DNN site to update data.

So not to be dependend on an optional Iweb installation.
